We've had a wonderful time at Smugglers Cottage.  The cottage had everything we needed.  Well equipped and very, very clean.  Wine and milk were greatly appreciated.  Peter and Val are excellent hosts.  Lots of good tips of places to visit and eat.  Our favourite place is Talland Bay.

It's our second time staying, and once again thanks, we have had a lovely time!  The pool is always so lovely and clean and warm.  My sons loved playing in the pool for hours on end.  Pete and his wife are always welcomng and the lodge and surroundings are so peaceful.  We will be back again soon!

This is the fourth time we have stayed at Trehalvin but the first year we have stayed in Sam's Cabin (we usually stay in Daisy Lodge).

We love it here and just immediately relax when we get here.  Thank you once again for a lovely relaxing week.  We hope to be back again next year.

Lovely and relaxing week.  So peaceful!  The swimming pool was a bit of a hit with my 2 year old.

Lots to see and do locally.  The cabin had everything we needed.  Pete and Val are most helpful and nothing was too much trouble.  We will definitely be back :)

Our grand-children (13 and 7) have had an absolute ball!  Lots of space to play and they loved the pool.  Everywhere was spotless and the fresh flowers, biscuits etc were a lovely welcoming touch.  Thankyou Peter and Val - we hope to see you again x

We've had an amazing week staying in Sam's Cabin with friends.  The kids have loved the field, playground and especially the pool!

Cornwall has been great - The Eden Project, Looe, Polperro, Charlestown were all fab, but best of all were the beaches and star gazing outside - truly amazing to see so many shooting stars!

We've had a super week staying at Sam's Cabin.  It has been a great place to have as a base to explore beautiful Cornwall.  We've been lucky with the weather so have spent lots of time at the beach.  The favourite beaches have been Kingsand/ Cawsand (for the rock pools and rock scrambling), Marazion beach (opposite St Michael's Mount), which had beautiful clear water for swimming and Pendower.

Our children (4 and 6) have had THE BEST TIME using the pool and park and we all stayed up late to star gaze and watch for shooting stars - amazing! 

P.s for anyone gluten free.  The Catch in Looe does great gluten free fish and chips!

We had a fantastic time here at this gorgeous place!  Nature everywhere around us here is amazing, people are so friendly, the house is great and oh, the view from the house is breathtaking!  But most of all, the owner and his wife were so friendly and helpful with everything.  Peter is the nicest man ever!  We enjoyed it very much over here!  Sad to go home and leave this special place with its sweet owners.  Take care Peter and Val and hopefully see you again!

We have had the most amazing time in this beautiful place.  The lodge is perfect, the nature and space around us is just breathtaking!

Our children have loved the swimming pool, and would have happily not left the site at all.

We have had a lovely week here.  Alex and Austin had a great time in the pool and playing in the field.  Beautiful views and peaceful countryside too.  We had lots of fun crabbing in Looe and exploring Polperro which is fantastic.  Thankyou to Peter and Val for looking after us so well and being so welcoming.  We hope to be back some day!

We have had a wonderful week in Daisy Lodge!  The setting has suited us perfectly.  Peaceful with plenty of space for the children to run around and the use of the beautifully set, well kept pool made staying home a treat.  Lots of fascinating places to explore, we have barely scratched the surface!  We very much hope to come back to Daisy Lodge next year.

What a wonderful time, a wonderful place and a wonderful host in Peter.  The sun shone and we were torn between beautiful beaches and lazy mornings by the well kept, deep blue pool.

Sight seeing in Looe and Polperro made for fun evenings.  The Crumplehorn pub in Polperro had live music Sunday evening.  Also several trips to the waves on the north shore.  Love hearts from Jessie (aged 4).

We have enjoyed a wonderful week here at Daisy Cottage.  As everyone has said, the pool is absolutely glorious!  Peter and Val had prepared the lodge so that we were extremely comfortable.  Having our door open up to a field is perfect when you have an active 6 year old boy who loves kicking footballs.  Mevagissey and Fowey were lovely as well as Looe and Polperro.  Football and golf in St Austell was fun (get there early as it gets busy) and the crabbing was excellent.  We hope to come back!

Really lovely lodge, very comfortable.  Everything you need to enjoy your stay.  So much space for kids.   Peter was so welcoming...thank you for everything!

The pool was amazing, what a great addition to top off the holiday!!  We had a lovely week, well relaxed and will recommend to others.  Many thanks!!!

"We've throughly enjoyed our weeks' stay in Daisy Lodge.  The Lodge is well kitted out and comfortable.  The bed was comfy and we slept well.  Thank you Peter and Val for the welcoming milk, biscuits, flowers and wine.  Very much appreciated.  We loved the peace and quiet here and the view - we will miss it!  We were able to see the night sky very clearly.  Heard owls and saw a bat or two.  We were visited by Jessica the cat most days who's very friendly.  Visited coastal villages - Looe, Polperro, Charlestown, Mevagissey, Falmouth.  Visited Eden Project too!  We had a good meal at the Little Barn, St Martin.  All in all an excellent stay."

It is perfectly located to visit both the South and North coasts.  We took the train to Plymouth from Liskeard and went to the Aquarium.  The Eden Project is less than one hour away and The Hall Walk around Fowey was another highlight. "We have had a truly wonderful week at Sam's Cabin, it is absolutely perfect for our little family.  From the welcome gifts ( that glass of wine and chocolate biscuit after the kids went to bed was heavenly).  The beautiful swimming pool, which was enjoyed despite the weather to the lush green grass in front of the cabin for our two year old to play.

"We have loved our return visit to Trehalvin.  Having been so lucky with the weather we have been to a few lovely beaches, Looe, Millendreath (great beach cafe) and Polkerris and enjoyed eating at Sam's Cafe right on the beach.  We drove over to Port Isaac and Polperro was great."

"A fantastic two weeks staying at Smugglers Cottage.  We've been very lucky with the weather and a big thank you to Val and Peter for making us feel so welcome.  

Top Tips...Lantic Bay, a walk down to the beach but well worth it as far quieter than other beaches.  Poldrimouth bay, just beyond Fowey.  Again a little walk but a large shallow. Ove perfect for kids to swim and play and is beautiful.

Val suggested Sam's to eat out and we went to both Sam's in Fowey and Sam's on the Beach in Polkerris.  Both were fantastic but Sam's on the Beach is a beautiful place to eat.  We also enjoyed both Pendennis and Tintagel Castles. A great day was cycling from Bodmin to Padstow and back on The Camel Trail, twenty five miles and our six year old boy cycled it!  Had Rick Steins fish and chips."

"We have had such a fabulous holiday here at Daisy Lodge and really, really don't want to leave!  The Lodge is perfectly designed to suit a family of four and contains everything needed.  It has been tastefully and thoughtfully furnished with quality products from the likes of John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and The White Company!  The freshly cut flowers, wine, milk and scrumptious dark chocolate ginger biscuits were a delightful touch upon arrival.  The spotlessly clean outdoor swimming pool is absolutely glorious and has been used by us endlessly all week in the Mediterranean heat and sunshine.  The meadow in front of the Lodge provides a sense of freedom and space which is always welcome.  For ourselves and our two young children this really has been a perfect place for us to spend our holiday.  We will, without any doubt, return.  A week just isn't enough time to fully explore this wonderful area.  Valerie and Peter thank you so, so much, please know that your hard work and dedication is very apparent.  Best wishes to the both of you. xxxx"

"A truly relaxing and peaceful holiday location.  We particularly enjoyed the heated swimming pool, the barbecue, the comfortable beds, the fluffy towels, the play area and surrounding space, the decked eating area and the free wifi.  The welcome items of chilled wine, milk, biscuits and fresh flowers were a delightful addition. Thank you. Very well equipped and thought through holiday accommodation, a beautiful area of Cornwall. During our week long stay in Sam's Cabin we visited the Eden Project with a fifteen per cent discount voucher in the information pack. Polkerris beach, Looe. "A lovely cottage in an idyllic location.  The pool and grounds are fantastic.  Rooms and amenities are excellent.  We felt very private but with the assurance that Valerie and Peter were always on hand if needed.  We recommend visiting Fowey, Padstow, The Eden Project, local caves and falls and if you fancy a trip across the county border, Widecombe-in-the-Moor on Dartmoor.  Many thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable stay."

"Thank you for a wonderful stay in Cider Cottage.  We enjoyed our time in Cornwall immensely and felt very at home here.  Thank you for all the lovely little touches, especially the wine, milk, biscuits and fresh flowers, very handy on arrival after a long journey.  The cottage was a real home from home and a lot of thought has obviously gone into the decor and furnishings.  We had all we needed for a comfortable holiday and more.  We enjoyed the pool twice daily, a real treat.

We are sad to leave the peace and quiet behind!  The wonderful views from the meadow where we had a lovely picnic lunch whilst Ellie our dog looked longingly at the sheep!  Our favourite places we visited were Fowey and Whitsand Bay.  We also enjoyed Seaton, Mevagissy, Polperro and Padstow.  Boat trips from Fowey and Mevagissy were wonderful and Ellie regained her sealers.  Guenllian loved her bedroom in the attic and it became known as her private flat where no parents could enter. "Sam's Cabin is the perfect hideaway!  Upon arrival we were immediately transported to the most magical place.  Waking up to the beautiful view of the meadow is breathtaking.  The accommodation 'top notch", chic and modern.  The pool was the luxury that topped our week especially for my little daughter.  We enjoyed fun days out to Whitsand Bay, Looe beach and park, Polkerris, Fowey, but found it hard to pull ourselves away from the Cabin.  Thank you for being such warm, friendly hosts and for a wonderful week.  We shall Definitely be back."

"Thanks for a lovely stay in the cosy and welcoming "Smuggler's Cottage".  The biscuits, milk and wine were a great treat and most welcome.  We managed to enjoy a dip in the lovely warm pool on our first evening, Edward's first swim.  We visited some great National Trust properties in the area.  Lanhydrock is not to be missed and also Cothele.  Also had some great days out at The Gardens of Heligan , Fowey and St. Ives.  A wonderful holiday.  Thanks to Pete and Val for creating such a wonderful place from which to explore Cornwall."

"A lovely cottage and grounds, swings and slide a big hit with Olivia (22 months).  Perfectly situated for a wealth of day trips.  Lappa Valley trains, Dairyland, Blue Reef Aquarium, all good for kids.  Eden Project, Fowey, Mevagissey, Padstow, all lovely to visit, Looe very nice too, narrow streets to explore and a nice, sandy beach out of the wind.  Weather has been dry if a bit cool for end of May.  Thank you Pete and Val for a lovely week."

"We have had a wonderful week in Smuggler's Cottage in beautiful peaceful countryside.  The cottage is cosy and snug with everything we could possibly need.  We love the maritime themed decor and really appreciated the welcoming flowers, wine, milk and the great books, DVDs and games.  The swimming pool was fantastic and the setting stunning.  The cottage is in a perfect spot for visiting loads of places.  There is so much to do and see....just lovely!"

"We'll be back!  Fabulous stay.  The Lodge is perfect for a little family, the girls Ruby 11yrs and Scarlett 4yrs loved the meadow and the swimming pool, the weather has not been good for June but that did not keep us from the pool.  Comfortable beds, warm and cosy. wine and milk etc very thoughtful gesture, Peter and Val really know how to look after their guests.  Recommend Polperro, Mevagissy boat ride to Fowey, Eden Project, St. Ives Tate, Seaton Beach Cafe."
